COMPILED SERVICE RECORDS

The
Sumner County Archives has 80
Rolls of
microfilm that contain the compiled service records of Sumner County soldiers in
the Civil War. These names were
taken from the book, Sumner County in the Civil War by Edward Ferguson.
For a copy of the soldier’s service records (Sumner County only) we must know the soldier's name along with the number and/or company name. Please note that these are compiled service records, not pension applications.
There is a minimum $5 fee for a search up to 1/2 hour which includes the first copy free. Each additional 1/2 hour is $5.00. The $5.00 search fee is due for all searches performed regardless of findings. There is a $20 fee for all returned checks. If you pay with a personal check please verify all information on your check is correct. If your phone number and valid driver’s license number is not printed on your check we will need you to write it on the check, preferable below your address
Email us at sumnersettlers@yahoo.com with the information listed above. When you place your request we will perform a search for the record requested, provided that all the steps below are followed.
