Mandatory Mask Mandate In Effect As Of 2/26/21
February 26, 2021
FROM SUMNER COUNTY MAYOR, ANTHONY HOLT
On February 26, 2021, Governor Lee signed Executive Order No. 77, extending provisions of previously issued Executive Orders, by extending the term of the Order until 11:59 p.m., Central Time, on April 28, 2021.
While the infection rate is down considerably and we are making progress in vaccinating the citizens of our community, the virus is still here and it is important that we do what we can to continue to slow the spread until more citizens are vaccinated.
It is for reason that I have decided that it is in the best interest of public safety to extend the Executive Order to wear face coverings in public places in Sumner County. This decision was made after consulting with medical professionals in our community.
This Executive Order will be effective and enforceable as of 11:59 p.m., Central Time, on February 27, 2021, and shall remain in effect until 11:59 p.m., Central Time, on April 28, 2021, unless sooner cancelled or unless extended pursuant to subsequent authorization by the Governor.
