200th Anniversary Celebration of the Bridal House - August 3rd
Sumner County Government and The Friends of the Bridal House invite you to join them for the 200th Anniversary Celebration of the Bridal House on August 3, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Historic Bridal House located at 2315 Highway 25, Cottontown.
The 200th Anniversary Celebration will include re-enactment, food, live music, trade demonstrations and more. There will also be a wedding ceremony interpretation and celebration at 11:00 a.m. for the 200th wedding anniversary of Betsy Cotton and Richard Hobdy. Some trades showcased will be: wood work, blacksmith, leather work, painters and hat work and spinning demonstrations. Food trucks from Delaney’s Street Eats and sno cones and cotton candy.
Please visit the Bridal House and 5-acre park Saturday August 3rd. The park is open seven days a week; you can enjoy the swing set or have a picnic at one of the picnic tables. The Bridal House is open for free tours the first Saturday of every month (April through October) or by appointment by calling 615-461-0819. Come tour the house and learn about the history of the area and the family who lived there from 1819-1860.
